Arthur C. Greene Rising Star Awards Celebration

PIEDMONT COUNCIL FOR THE ARTS CELEBRATES 20th ANNUAL RISING STAR AWARDS FOR 23 OUTSTANDING YOUTHS

The twentieth annual Arthur C. Greene Rising Star Awards celebrated brilliant young artists from private and public high schools throughout Charlottesville and Albemarle County on Friday, March 3, 2017 from 7-9 pm at The Haven (112 Market St.). The community was invited to this free event honoring these young people’s outstanding achievements, and the evening featured performances by a number of the participants.

The Arthur C. Greene Rising Star Awards are named after the much­ beloved professor of drama from the University of Virginia and former PCA board member who devoted a large part of his life to encouraging the talents of young people.
