All of her paintings, sculptures, and mirrors, whether composed of paper, wood, metal, or canvas, use color, texture, and shape to create layers of visual interest. Jean teaches a beginning drawing class called “Drawing for Chickens” which is for anyone who wants to learn to draw but is scared to take a class for fear of being left behind. The class is deliberately slow-paced so even“chickens” can be successful. She also teaches a “gutsy abstract oil painting class” in which students are encouraged to make a mess and just keep painting until they get a painting they like(process painting). This class is fun and fills up quickly!
