Friday, May 28, doors at 7:00pm
Don’t miss Wes Swing and Nelly Kate at The Garage this Friday night. Doors open at 7:00, music begins at 8.
According to the C-ville, “Wes Swing makes us wish that Damien Rice could collaborate with Bartok, or that Radiohead would get really into Philip Glass. Thankfully, each of his sets scratches the same chamber-pop itch. After a gorgeous, cello-looping set at The Bridge…Swing has us convinced that he has one of the best ears in town, and the fine motor skills to knit a silky melody from any stringed instrument you could put in front of him.”
Also, after a short hiatus from playing shows in town is local sensation Nelly Kate. A one woman repository of pristinely angelic and experimentally haunting sounds, Nelly showers us in a warmth akin to nostalgic memories of youthful days spent playing pretend.
This show is FREE and open to the public.
