For the final event in its Spring 2011 Artist/Educator series, the Charlottesville Jazz Society presents “Jazz From Iceland,” featuring keyboard player Sunna Gunnlaugs. The event is TONIGHT from 7:00-9:00pm at Millmont Grille.
Influenced both by American and Scandinavian jazz pianists, Gunnlaugs began composing original material, and recorded her first album in 1993. All About Jazz says “Gunnlaugs proves that jazz can have a wider appeal without losing integrity.”
