Thoughts About Life and Death“ is a retrospective exhibition, featuring selections from Richards’ “Inaccurate Maps,” “City” and “Primeval Times” series, current paintings and prints. Several pieces have never been exhibited before, including the four-color etching “Sexy City” and the new painting “An Inaccurate Map of Roanoke,” created specifically for this show and available through the museum store as a 16 × 20” color poster.

The Taubman Museum of Art is a cutting-edge exhibition space housed in a futuristic edifice of steel and glass. The museum celebrates its first anniversary in November with exhibitions of the prints of Rembrandt, contemporary printmakers Mike Houston and Martin Mazorra, and Russell Richards.
