MIND THE GAP is a first-ever building-wide fundraiser at the City Center for Contemporary Arts on the Downtown Mall (located at 123 East Water Street) on June 30 from 8:00pm-1:00am.
Light House Studio, Live Arts Theater, and Second Street Gallery have teamed up to throw the party of the summer to support each non-profit, and to close the gap in their fiscal year-end budgets (hence the name of the party).
Entertainment will include Charlottesville’s first silent disco. Put on a pair of headphones and dance to tunes spun by DJ XSV while enjoying cocktails provided by Blue Ridge Vodka.
On the rooftop, listen to live music from bands including The Best New Recipe, Carl Anderson, Lord Nelson, and London’s Burning.
Be sure to stop by a very loud photobooth in the upstage theater, featuring local photographer Billy Hunt‘s Scream-O-Tron 3000.
Or enjoy wine tastings in the downstage theater featuring Virginia wines from Pollak Vineyards and Trump Winery as well as cheese and fruit provided by Anderson Carriage Food House while listening to music by Margaret Parsons with Wells Hanley. There will also be a chill-out space called “The Mud Room” inside Light House Studio, sponsored by Mudhouse coffee.
Bring a little extra cash for Eats on the Street, featuring Hamdingers Mobile Gourmet Food and the Delicious George french fry cart!
Admission is $49.99 and tickets are available for purchase online. This is an age 21+ event.
This event is a fun opportunity to show your support for three great arts organizations in one night: Live Arts, Second Street Gallery, and Light House. For more information, please call (434) 977-4177 ×108.
