Earlier this month, Charlottesville’s innovative all-female professional theater company, Performers Exchange Project, began a fund drive to support touring their newest original play, Our American Ann Sisters, to nearby theater and university venues, using Kickstarter.com.
The members of PEP are appealing to their community to contribute to this grassroots campaign, which ends on April 25.
Kickstarter requires that groups raise 100% of their goal or forfeit all of the funds pledged. That means that PEP must raise the full $4,800 they need by April 25, or they will receive nothing and none of the people who pledged funds will be charged.
