Sprout Film Festival
Piedmont Council of the Arts is pleased to be a co-sponsor of the Sprout Film Festival, coming to Charlottesville on Friday, March 13th, 2009. Although this announcement comes far in advance, we’re urging the community to save the date for this great festival!
The Sprout Film Festival features films made by and about people with developmental disabilities, highlighting the issues facing this population and the many ways they enhance our lives and community.
In collaboration with the festival, students with developmental disabilities will explore the filmmaking process and create films with the assistance of students and mentors from Light House Studio.
The list of films to be shown will be announced in December, so stay tuned!
