Reflecting Women’s Wellness 2010
The deadline to submit entries to Women’s Health Virginia’s juried art show, Reflecting Women’s Wellness 2010, is March 1 at 5 p.m.
The exhibit will run from April 3 to 24 at the Atrium of the James Center in Richmond and April 25 to May 23 at the Richmond Marriott West in Glen Allen.
Artists (male and female) from Virginia who are age 18 and over can submit up to two original works for the $25 entry fee. Submissions by male artists must have women or girls as the subject. Pieces can be in any medium and must be two-dimensional and no larger than 32” x 40” (including frame). Entries can be made by photo or digital print (up to 8½” x 11’’) and sent to Women’s Health Virginia, 1924 Arlington Blvd., Ste 203, Charlottesville, VA 22903 or by electronic submission.

The judges for the show are Andrea Douglas, Curator of Collections & Exhibits at the University of Virginia Art Museum; Maggie Guggenheimer, Executive Director of the Piedmont Council for the Arts; and Holly Morrison, Chair of the Department of Painting and Printmaking at Virginia Commonwealth University. They will award first, second, and third place cash prizes of $150, $100, and $50, respectively. The awards will be presented on the day the show opens.
