PVCC's Let There Be Light!
Friday, December 11, 6-9pm
Piedmont Virginia Community College’s Visual Arts Department presents Let There Be Light, an evening of light-centered artwork for one night only on the grounds surrounding the V. Earl Dickinson Building. The public is invited free of charge.
More than one dozen local artists will create illuminated works in keeping with the Winter Solstice, historically the longest night of the year. In case of rain, the event will be held on Saturday, December 12.
This is the College’s third year presenting Let There Be Light, curated by local artist James Yates. Attendees are encouraged to bring flashlights to the event, which includes several art and sound installations, a dance performance, free hot chocolate and much more.
Get more information online or contact Beryl Solla, professor of art, at 434.961.5362 or online.
The V. Earl Dickinson Building is located at the south end of College Drive. Ample, free well-lit parking is located in front of the building.
