PCA Celebrates Women in the Arts: Rosemary Balister

Rosemary Balister, Writer & Artist

Rosemary Balister is a writer and artist who has participated in many Charlottesville/Albemarle VSA artistic activities. Her writings have been featured in the VSA Poetry Books for 9 years. Her art work has been exhibited in the Daily Progress Art Shows, Bozart Gallery, in doctors’ offices, and in the annual C/A VSA art shows. Rosemary’s painting “West Virginia Fall” was exhibited in the US Art Embassy Program in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for the past three years. She is dedicated to promoting arts for individuals with disabilities and has successfully recruited other writers and artists for local VSA programs. She is deeply committed to providing public awareness and education about the talents of artists with special abilities in our community.
