PCA Celebrates Women in the Arts: Cathy Kiehl
Cathy Kiehl, Art Therapist
Cathy Kiehl is an Art Therapist who has worked with Charlottesville Albemarle VSA Arts since 2006. She believes strongly in the power of using materials and procedures to communicate what can not be put into words. She has led VSA art workshops for Ivy Creek School, Mary Williams Community Center, Nelson County JABA Senior Program, Festival of the Book, City Therapeutic Summer Camp Programs, City Recreation Centers, and many other community locations. Cathy also has worked individually with Charlottesville Parks & Recreation therapeutic participants. Her creativity and enthusiasm is contagious and she has motivated many individuals to succeed at art projects who first said “I can’t do that.”
