Lawyers for the Arts Workshop: Success!
The Lawyers for the Arts workshop sponsored by PCA drew around forty people to hear two young lawyers from Richmond discuss some of the legal issues artists may encounter when earning income from from their artwork.
Light House Studio, Charlottesville’s youth media center, graciously let us use their space for the event. The bright, creative environment made for a great setting for a gathering of artists! Much thanks to Light House.
The lawyers’ presentation seemed very relevant for the crowd at hand and many specific (and complicated) questions were posed to the presenters. At the end of the evening, we enjoyed drinks, pizza, and conversations as people exchanged law-related stories, asked questions, and simply enjoyed each other’s company.
