Don’t miss the seventh annual Festival of Cultures in Charlottesville! FREE and open to the public, the Festival of Cultures is a full day of family-friendly fun including cultural exhibits; music, dance, song, and storytelling; food and artisan vendors; hands-on cultural craft activities; and service agency information tables.
The Festival is a gathering place where all can meet, share in, and learn about each others’ cultures. Here you can take a passport and “travel the world in Lee Park.” Mayor David Norris and City Schools’ Gertrude Ivory will open the Festival, and Darrell Rose and student African drummers kick off the entertainment at 10:00.
The Festival is organized by the Charlottesville City Schools Adult Learning Center with sponsorship from the Asia Institute at the University of Virginia, Bama Works Fund of the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation, La Guadalupana, Piedmont Council of the Arts, United Nations Association, USA - Blue Ridge Virginia Chapter, Voices for Animals, and WVPT.
