The Virginia Commission for the Arts (VCA) recently announced that the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles allows purchasers of the arts license plates to qualify for a tax deduction.
Fifteen dollars of the fees for the plates are paid into a VCA fund and then used for grants to arts organizations. As the ultimate recipients are non-profits, the money is tax deductible.
