Cville TimeBank Screens Documentary

Cville TimeBank Potluck Cville TimeBank is hosting a screening of Fixing the Future on Wednesday, July 18 at 7:30pm a the Carmike Cinema (located at 1005 Gardens Blvd, behind Pier 1 Imports on Route 29 North).

In Fixing the Future, David Brancaccio, host of public radio’s Marketplace and NOW on PBS, visits people and organizations across America that are attempting sustainable and innovative approaches to create jobs and build prosperity amidst economic hard times.

Cville TimeBank invites attendees to an ice cream social immediately following the film at Kirt’s Homemade Ice Cream in Albemarle Square. There, you can learn more about the local organizations that put into practice some of the ideas portrayed in the film.

Advance tickets cost $10 and are available online or at the theater box office.

Cville Timebank is a new community group that seeks to build a network of neighbors to come together to create a caring and sharing community. The group has just begun its 90 day pilot program, and there are a few openings in the limited enrollment. If interested in joining, please email the coordinators at timebankcville@gmail.com.
