Piedmont Council of the Arts is launching a new series called Creative Conversations, a forum for arts-related idea exchange and collaboration. The goal of the program is to bring arts organizations, artists, arts educators, and community leaders together in person to develop strategies for strengthening the arts in our community.
The first conversation in the series will be held this coming Tuesday, September 30th at CitySpace in the Charlottesville Community Design Center. Conversation will be focused on the topic of “Arts Education and Our Community.”
We’re had over 20 organizations and individuals register to be a part of the first Creative Conversation happening next week. Some of the participants include: Live Arts, Second Street Gallery, Light House Studio, The Paramount Theater, UVA Art Museum, Charlottesville Municipal Band, The Bridge PAI, the Music Resource Center, the PERKS Program, Albemarle Ballet Theatre, Lander Creative, UVA Arts Administration Program, UVA Student Council, and representatives from Albemarle and Charlottesville Public Schools.
