Reception for “Arts Inspire” exhibit at CitySpace Gallery

nature sculpture Piedmont Council for the Arts is hosting a closing reception at the CitySpace Gallery for an exhibit of photographs taken during a recent Arts Inspire workshop led by Patrick Costello.

Costello is the New City Arts Initiative‘s Artist-in-Residence at The Haven. Big Little pairs from Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Central Blue Ridge attended the workshop. Mr. Costello led a discussion at CitySpace and then the group created temporary sculptures out of materials found in nature at nearby Lee Park in May. The workshop’s intent was to draw attention to the story of the natural landscape and foster appreciation for Charlottesville’s green spaces.

Stop by CitySpace to see the photographs and enjoy light refreshments on Friday, June 1st from 5:30pm to 7:00pm!

This event is FREE and open to the public.

The Arts Inspire project is funded by the Bama Works Fund of Dave Matthews Band in the CACF, and is a part of Charlottesville’s Celebrate250! programming.
