Ash Lawn Opera Kicks Off 2009 Season!
MID SUMMER EVE – Sunday, June 28, 6:00pm

The Ash Lawn Opera Festival Guild will hold its annual Mid Summer Eve celebration on Sunday, June 28, 2009, at The Greencroft Club, located on 250 West. This festive event will provide participants with an exciting preview of the 2009 summer season, which features productions of Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro and Lerner and Loewe’s Camelot. For the first time, performances will be held at The Paramount Theater on the Downtown Mall.
Mid Summer Eve will start at 6 p.m. with a wine reception, followed by a seated dinner and performances by the Festival principal singers, including soprano Elizabeth Caballero. Ms. Caballero will perform this summer in the role of Countess Almaviva in The Marriage of Figaro. She has appeared this season with the Seattle Opera and the Nashville Opera. Future engagements include her debut in the Metropolitan Opera as Frasquita in their new production of Carmen.
